Alexander Berlage
Lighting Designer
Alex is a NIDA graduate in Lighting Design and Directing.
His recent Lighting Design credits include Stones in His Pockets, Critical Stages, 2017 National Tour; Crimes of the Heart and The Judas Kiss, The Old Fitz Theatre; Nosferatutu or Bleeding at the Ballet, Griffin Independent;
He also created Lighting Designs for The Bitter Tears of Petra Von Kant, Mophead Productions & The Old Fitz Theatre; Proof, Freefall Productions; Thomas Murray and The Upside Down River, Griffin Independent; and, Songs for the Fallen, Sydney Festival.
Alex received two nominations for the Sydney Theatre Awards, Best Independent Lighting Design in 2016: The Bitter Tears of Petra Von Kant and The Whale.
Vicki Heilbronn
Stage Manager
Vicki is a Freelance Stage Manager who specialises in Music Theatre, Cabaret and new works. She has helped with the inaugural productions of 3 new theatre companies in both Sydney & Melbourne and worked on multiple new shows in the last 12 months.
A graduate of WAAPA's Stage Management course in 2013, she made her professional debut as the Stage Manager on the highly acclaimed & Helpmann Award winning, production of Sweet Charity (Luckiest Productions & Neil Gooding Productions in association with the Hayes Theatre Co). Since then she has kept busy, working on a number of shows. Highlights include The World premier of Beyond Desire (Neil Rutherford Productions), Green Room award winning Loving Repeating (Vic Theatre Company), The Australian Premier of Dogfight (Neil Gooding Productions), The Sound of Music (Gordon Frost Org), and Avenue Q (Prince Moo Productions) along with a number of other shows. She is currently Assistant Stage Manager on The Bodyguard Australian Tour.
Megan Venhoek
Costume & Set Designer
Megan graduated from Design at NIDA in 2006. Throughout her career Megan has worked in theatre, film, television, ballet, opera and events. She has designed costumes for Nickelodeon and children's television, worked with the Paris Opera Ballet and had worked on costumes for films such as Baz Lurmanns Australia.
Megan has taught various courses at NIDA, lectured at Charles Sturt University and currently teaches at the Drama Department of the Australia Institute of Music, Sydney Campus.
Warwick Doddrell
Assistant Director
After completing a BA in Film Production in 2009 at Curtin University, Warwick pursued a career in theatre directing, creating physical ensemble work with Redfoot Youth Theatre. He has trained in London with the New End Theatre, and staged works in Perth, Melbourne, London and Sydney. Warwick was represented by original productions at the 2015 and 2016 FringeWorld Festivals. In 2015, his original devised production Under This Sun won the Members Choice and Marketing Awards from it's original sold out run at The Blue Room Theatre.
Before studying at NIDA, Warwick developed a new site specific adaptation of Hunchback of Notre Dame and in 2016, he began development on an adaptation of Ernest Hemmingway's The Old Man and The Sea and Ethel Pedley's Australian Classic, Dot and the Kangaroo. Warwick interned with Opera Australia on their 2017 remount of Carmen on the Harbour, and directed a new production of Rent with Nate Butler's Studio on the Central Coast.
